Litigation Support
Our firm provides experienced CPAs and other financial experts to assist companies and individuals in a variety of litigation proceedings.

Neutral CPA services
In a divorce, each side traditionally hires a CPA to determine how to separate the couple's finances. In most cases, the two CPAs tend to disagree with the way finances should be divided, which increases the likelihood of a trial. To help stay out of court and reduce costs, many couples agree to hire a single accountant instead–a neutral CPA. Our firm can provide you with a neutral CPA to assist in a divorce.

As neutral CPAs, we do not take sides. We perform an independent financial analysis and make recommendations about an equitable distribution of assets and liabilities and an amount for alimony. We perform the following:

  • Gather financial documents
  • Make inquiries of the divorcing husband and wife to determine income and expenses
  • Prepare a schedule of assets and liabilities
  • Calculate child support and alimony payments
  • Value businesses and other assets where necessary
  • Serve as a mediator by providing different financial options during negotiations
  • Serve as an expert witness, if the case ultimately goes to court.

By using a neutral CPA, you will obtain the following benefits:

  • Save money.   By using a single neutral CPA as opposed to two adversarial accountants, the parties significantly reduce legal and accounting fees because there is no need to file discovery motions and pleadings. And the biggest saving comes from avoiding the trial!
  • No need to go to court.   According to statistics, up to 30% of divorce clients who use adversarial accountants end up going to court. By using a neutral CPA from our firm, you significantly reduce the likelihood of going to court.
  • Gather financial information faster.   We request financial documents directly from the divorcing parties, as opposed through the parties' attorneys via motions and pleadings.
  • Improve negotiations.   We will provide you with professional recommendations about settlement ranges and different financial alternatives that will help both parties in negotiations.

If one party does not agree to use our neutral CPA service, our firm can provide you an independent CPA who will represent your side during a divorce case. We are committed to help you reach the best, fairest, and most comprehensive settlement with minimal pain.
